Meet Our Vice President/Co-Founder

Tasha Jones’ entire nursing career has evolved around educating and mentoring nurses, nursing students, and healthcare professionals since 2001. Her focus is nursing education, public health, and community advocacy. Dr. Jones has always had a passion for advising, collaborating, and facilitating an individual’s journey to understanding their roles in the healthcare continuum.

Tasha Jones has held many positions from staff nurse to Director of Nursing in all fields of nursing. She began her nursing career in 2001 after receiving her Associate Degree in Nursing from Bishop State Community College. She later pursued her Bachelor’s in Nursing (2008) and Masters in Nursing (2014) from the University of Mobile. She obtained the Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Administration and Education from Samford University in 2018 for which she received an award for her research “Addressing Adolescent Depression.” She is the past recipient of BSCC Dean’s Scholarship (1998), Alabama Board of Nursing’s Graduate Student Scholarship (2016), and Samford University’s DNP Project Award (2018). She is a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioner, Bay Area Nurse Practitioner, and American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Jones is active in the community addressing both health disparities and nursing education as a keynote speaker at local churches and community venues. She is currently collaborating with local city officials, business leaders, and behavioural specialists to target objectives that will improve mental health among adolescents.

Dr. Jones is a native of Mobile, Alabama and the mother of five children.
