Meet Our President/Founder

I am a native of Barlow Bend Alabama, a small rural community that is found in Clarke County and I am a alumni of Jackson High in Jackson Alabama.  I started in the medical field as a Medical Assistant in 1999, I worked as a Medical Assistant for 3 years before I enrolled at Bishop State Community College in Mobile Alabama to obtain my Associate Degree in Nursing.  In 2007, I received my Associate Degree in Nursing and embarked my career as a professional nurse.  In 2012, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Mobile and my Master's in Nursing Education and Administration (2014) from the University of Mobile in Mobile Alabama.   In 2019, I achieved my Family Nurse Practitioner from Troy University in Troy Alabama, and currently I am working diligently to obtain my Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education from Troy University.

I am a member of numerous nursing organization, to name a few:  I was inducted in Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society in 2014 as Nurse Leader, Bay Area Nurse Practitioner Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioner, Alabama State Nurses Association, and Black Nurses Rock Inc National and Local Chapter, Mobile Bay Area.

I have worked in a variety of areas in the nursing profession.  Starting my nursing career as a ER Trauma Nurse at the University of South Alabama ER Trauma Center in Mobile Alabama on night shift, this is where I developed my time management, critical care and thinking skills.  Spreading my wings throughout this profession has lead me from bedside nursing, travel nursing, nurse management, nurse educator, community health & wellness coordinator, nurse mentor and entrepreneurship.

First and far most I prayed to God to help me find my purpose here on earth.  Following that prayer and discernment, this is where God lead me.  I love mentoring, empowering, inspiring, giving back to the community, and the nursing profession.  I launched this non-profit organization with my good friend and Vice President and Co-Founder Ms. Tasha Jones, DNP, AGNP, RN-BC.  She and I brainstormed and collaborated with many individuals in the nursing and healthcare profession to build this dynamic mentoring service.

My personal goal for Nurse Mentor Consultant Services, Inc is to advocate, educate, empower underserved communities, provide outstanding mentoring service and resources that will have a positive impact toward minority nursing students as they excel in their nursing career.  This mentoring service is available to any individual that desire a career in the healthcare industry.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time and traveling with my husband, son, family, and friends.
